Controller and contact
Ainhoa Ormazabal Herrero (BajaRoam), at Calle Piedras Blancas 1218-13 interior M1, Col. Brisas del Pacífico, Cabo San Lucas, BCS, CP 23473, is the controller for the personal data described here. She personally handles privacy requests at bajaroamcamper@gmail.com. Address postal correspondence to her by name.
Pre-opening: bookings are not open yet. We only answer information requests by WhatsApp or email; this website has no submission form or payments.
Data and purposes
We process your name, email, pickup and return dates and times, traveler count, language, optional extras and questions to answer availability inquiries, prepare and follow up on quotes, and manage communications and, if you book, your reservation and related contractual obligations. We are not accepting bookings or payments at this stage. We do not request sensitive data, identity documents or card numbers for information requests. We do not use these data for advertising or secondary purposes.
Services and data communications
The form is inactive at this stage, and no data are sent to FormSubmit or its anti-spam check. Contact emails are received in our Gmail (Google) account. This website is hosted using OpenAI Sites and its Cloudflare infrastructure. Loading the site or its resources may disclose technical data such as IP addresses and connection requests to these services. The map uses Leaflet delivered through unpkg and OpenTopoMap tiles with OpenStreetMap data; their servers receive your IP address and technical request information when these resources load. We do not send form fields to the map. If you choose WhatsApp or Instagram, Meta processes information you share there under its own terms. These services may process information outside Mexico; processing exclusively in Mexico is not claimed. Read FormSubmit’s privacy information and Google’s privacy policy.
Transfers
Sending data to providers acting on BajaRoam’s behalf to deliver a service is distinct from a transfer to a third party determining its own purposes. We do not sell your data or plan advertising transfers. We disclose data to authorities where legally required or to third parties where a legal exception applies, limited to what is necessary. Before any other transfer requiring consent, we will identify the recipient and purpose and request your acceptance; you may refuse. The form does not request blanket consent to transfers.
Retention and deletion
We retain information while needed for your inquiry, quote or reservation and related obligations. Once no longer needed, we restrict its use and, where applicable, block it during legally required retention periods or limitation periods for tax, contractual or claims liabilities. After these periods expire, we delete it. Retention is not indefinite, and we do not promise to delete records that the law requires us to keep.
Your ARCO rights
You may request access, rectification, cancellation or opposition by emailing bajaroamcamper@gmail.com with the subject “Privacy / ARCO”. Include your name, a way to receive our response, the right or request, the relevant data (except for access) and details helping locate it, such as your inquiry date. Provide proof of identity and, where relevant, representation; for corrections, describe and substantiate the change. We can agree a secure, proportionate identity-verification method by email. Do not send identity documents through the availability form. Access is provided through an electronic copy after identity verification.
Response, withdrawal and limits
We communicate our ARCO decision within 20 business days of receipt and implement accepted requests within the following 15 business days; either period may be extended once for an equal period with justification. Requests are free, except legally permitted copying or delivery costs. You may withdraw consent or limit use or disclosure through the same email, using the subject “Withdrawal” or “Restriction”, with identification details and a description of your request. The same procedure and response periods apply. Withdrawal is not retroactive; legal obligations may require continued retention or processing. We will explain any impediment and effects on the service. You may seek protection from Mexico’s Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno if you believe your rights have been infringed.
Security and browser preferences
BajaRoam must maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards proportionate to risk, access controls and confidentiality. This website uses HTTPS and integrity verification for its map library. No system guarantees absolute security; we will promptly inform you of a breach significantly affecting your property or moral rights. The site stores your language preference in browser local storage (“btc-language”); you can clear it in browser settings. The current code has no advertising analytics. External services, especially the anti-spam check, may use cookies under their policies; you can manage these in your browser, although blocking them may affect submission.
Changes and applicable law
Updates will appear on this page with their date. We will request fresh consent before introducing purposes or transfers that require it. This notice covers the website and its inquiries under Mexico’s current Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties and other applicable provisions. This English version is provided for convenience; the Spanish text prevails in case of discrepancy.
